TENANCY PROFILES
The Palmers estate has been broadly categorised into four key styles of trade and examples of these are shown below. However, it should be noted that there are many other similar offerings which fit comfortably in or across any of these ‘categories’ – details of each one can be found on this site.
- Community: The Crown
Ideally situated at the Crown Roundabout on the A35, between Bridport and West Bay. We have a large car park and welcome parties, families and those passing through. A good selection of delicious food served all day. Excellent, well kept Palmers beer. - Village: the Ilchester Arms
A 16th century thatched public house in a beautiful rural setting, ideally situated in good walling countryside. Specialities are game and fish dishes and there is an attractive garden. - Young Persons Venue / Theme: The Ropemakers
A unique town centre pub, steeped in historic memorabilia. Big favourite with local clientele, offering excellent pub food and traditional ales. Super live music venue with regular Sunday jamming sessions. A must if you are visiting Bridport. - Destination / Tourist / Food / Accommodation: The Watermans
The Watermans Arms is set in a picturesque valley in the beautiful South Hams. The inn has 15 en-suite letting rooms and has a fine reputation for its superb menus using locally sourced food. There is a large covered decking area overlooking the creek, which is used as an alfresco restaurant during the season.
