The Three Horseshoes in Powerstock – affectionately known by locals as "The Shoes" – is a Victorian inn located in a quiet corner of West Dorset. Surrounded by rural countryside, the traditional village pub provides a relaxed retreat that is particularly popular with walkers. A key feature is its terraced garden and patio area, which overlook spectacular panoramic views of the valley below.

The kitchen has built a strong reputation for its seasonal cooking, focusing entirely on fresh, local ingredients. Winter menus feature hearty local game dishes, while the summer months bring a shift toward fresh fish and lighter plates.

For overnight visits, three bedrooms upstairs give guests a comfortable country stay with views over the rolling West Dorset landscape.  The entire inn is fully dog friendly, welcoming walkers with muddy boots and four-legged friends straight inside from the surrounding trails. A large on-site car park makes for easy access for anyone driving up into the hills for dinner or a weekend break.
